Steven Marjerison is an acclaimed Christian contemporary musician, author, and worship minister in the Church of the Nazarene. A native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, he has served nearly half a decade in his hometown as Minister of Music, in addition to almost a decade in the same role in Somerset, Kentucky. With almost two decades of experience in worship ministry and more than a decade in the music industry, Steven brings both depth and excellence to every facet of his calling. Notably, Steven's debut album, "City of Surrender," released in 2014, resonated on the airwaves across the East Coast for over six years through platforms like iHeartRadio and Family Life Radio.
His influence extends beyond music, as he has shared insightful perspectives as a worship leader through published writings for Holiness Today and participation in panels and clinics discussing the key elements and fundamentals of music and worship.
Steven previously held an ownership stake in the renowned Somerset Big Band, LLC., but has since sold his share and stepped away from active leadership in December 2025 to embrace a more emeritus, behind-the-scenes role. He continues to serve as an acting board member for the Academy of Allied Musicians.
Steven's commitment to worship leadership goes beyond the local church, as he has had the privilege of contributing to conferences within the Nazarene Denomination such as the Holiness Partnership, The National Nazarene Black Conference, and the 2023 Nazarene General Assembly.
Steven’s most recent full album release, Wishing on a Dream, represents a vibrant blend of jazz influences and Disney-inspired storytelling. Designed to reach audiences who may be hesitant to explore music from a Christian artist, this project reflects Steven’s heart to use his secular catalog as an extension of his testimony—meeting listeners where they are and drawing them toward something deeper. Notably, the project features a collaboration with Disney’s and Voctave Vocal Artist Tiffany Coburn on “You’ve Got a Friend in Me,” which the two also performed live at The Center for Rural Development in Somerset, Kentucky prior to the album’s release.
In addition, Steven released his original gospel single, Always Been There, arranged by Dove Award–nominated Marquise Brown. The single topped the Chicago charts on BMS Radio Network in 2025 and received national airplay across the United States.
He is currently collaborating with esteemed worship composer Cody McVey on an upcoming project that will feature three-time Grammy Award–winning Gaither Vocal Band singer Wes Hampton, as well as several other CCM Artists that will be released in fall 2026.
With a rich tapestry of musical experiences and a passion for crafting meaningful, ministry-minded art, Steven Marjerison continues to make a lasting impact across both musical and spiritual platforms.
