Steven Marjerison

Steven Marjerison is an American Christian Musician, Author, and Worship Minister in the Church of the Nazarene. Best known for his musical works in Christian Worship, and Disney-styled jazz. He is collaborating on a Christmas project featuring Gaither Vocalist Wes Hampton and other CCM artists.

Steven Marjerison is an acclaimed Christian contemporary musician, author, and worship minister in the Church of the Nazarene. A native of Albuquerque, he has served in worship ministry for more than fifteen years, including five years ministering in his hometown, eight years in Somerset Kentucky, and a subsequent season in Albuquerque as Executive Worship Pastor at Heights First Church. In the summer of 2026, Steven accepted a ministry appointment in Phoenix, Arizona, where he now resides and continues his work in worship leadership and music ministry.

With more than a decade and a half of experience in both worship ministry and the music industry, Steven brings depth, excellence, and authenticity to every facet of his calling. Notably, his debut album, City of Surrender, released in 2014, remained in radio rotation across the East Coast for more than six years through outlets including iHeartRadio and Family Life Radio.

His influence extends beyond music, as he has shared insightful perspectives as a worship leader through published writings for Holiness Today and participation in panels and clinics discussing the key elements and fundamentals of music and worship.

Steven previously held an ownership stake in the renowned Somerset Big Band, LLC., but has since sold his share and stepped away from active leadership in December 2025 to embrace a more emeritus, behind-the-scenes role. He continues to serve as an acting board member for the Academy of Allied Musicians.

Steven’s commitment to worship leadership extends beyond the local church, having contributed to denominational conferences and events including the Holiness Partnership, the National Nazarene Black Conference, and the 2023 Nazarene General Assembly. He has also provided worship leadership for ministry events and gatherings alongside evangelist Jim Maxim, further expanding his influence within the broader Christian community.

Steven has also provided music and worship leadership for civic, community, and ministry events attended by public officials and national leaders, including engagements connected to Congressman Hal Rogers and Senator Mitch McConnell.

Steven’s most recent full-length album release, Wishing on a Dream, blends jazz influences with Disney-inspired storytelling. Created to connect with audiences who may be hesitant to engage with music from a Christian artist, the project reflects Steven’s desire to use his secular catalog as an extension of his testimony—meeting listeners where they are while pointing them toward something deeper. The album notably features a collaboration with Disney’s and Voctave Vocal Artist Tiffany Coburn on “You’ve Got a Friend in Me,” which the two also performed live at The Center for Rural Development in Somerset, Kentucky prior to the album’s release.

In addition, Steven released his original gospel single, Always Been There, arranged by Dove Award–nominated Marquise Brown. The single topped the Chicago charts on BMS Radio Network in 2025 and received national airplay across the United States.

He is currently collaborating with esteemed worship composer Cody McVey on an upcoming project that will feature three-time Grammy Award–winning Gaither Vocal Band singer Wes Hampton, as well as several other CCM Artists that will be released in fall 2026.

With a rich tapestry of musical experiences and a passion for crafting meaningful, ministry-minded art, Steven Marjerison continues to make a lasting impact across both musical and spiritual platforms.
